Education
I graduated from the University of Dayton 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science in Education and Allied Professions. I have a middle childhood teaching license with concentrations in Math and Science (grades 4-9) and Language Art/Reading (grades 4-6). I taught 6th grade Science at Kettering Middle School for one school year. In June 2012, I joined the DECA PREP family! I have been teaching 6th grade Science at DECA PREP since August 2012.
In January 2013, I decided to go back to school to get my Masters in Educational Leadership & my Principal License. After two hard and busy years of going to school and teaching, I graduated from Wright State University in May 2015!
Family
My parents are my main role models. They have always worked hard to provide a fun, safe, loving home for our family. My parents taught me and I have always observed my parents' strong work ethics. My mom is the Director of Case Management and High Risk at CareSource , and my dad is a Computer Software Manager at Lexis-Nexis.
I am the oldest of three girls. The middle sister, Emily, is currently going to college at the University of Toledo. She is going to school to become a nurse. The youngest sister, Mary is a Freshman at the University of Kentucky. Mary had to make a hard decision of whether to play volleyball in college, or not. She spent months of debating back and forth. After numerous offers from a different schools throughout the U.S., she decided to solely focus on her academics. She misses volleyball and relives her glory days as Alter High School's setter and making it to state all four years of high school.
